Barolo

Barolo is an iconic Italian red wine from Piemont. In Italy, its nickname is re dei vini, which means ‘king of the wines’. The grape Nebbiolo is used for Barolo.

Barolo cannot be put on the market any earlier than three years after harvest. It is aged for at least one and half years in an oak barrel. When the wine is introduced to the market five years after the harvest, it is called Riserva.
