Famous red Italian wine from Piemont. Its nickname in Italy is “re dei vini” – King of the wines. The grape Nebbiolo is used for Barolo and Barolo can be put on the market not earlier than 3 years after the harvest. It is aged at least two years in oak barrels. When the wine is put on the market 5 years after the harvest it is called Riserva.
