Description
Thanks to the perfectly balanced ratio of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties, the Saint-Hilaire 2002 has excellent archiving potential. Both of these varieties are processed separately until they’re mixed and stored in barrique casks. Then, the dry red wine is left to mature for 12 months.
The Château Saint-Hilaire winery tends vineyards with the best terroir in the Médoc wine growing region. Since 1982 their vines are growing on the predominantly gravel subsoil with a view over the Gironde River. The unique terroir of this place gives rise to very elegant wines.
